That reminds me of something similar that happened to us when I was stationed in Korat [Camp Friendship].  We were in the 254th Trans. Det.  We were attached to the 291st Trans. For some reason our 1st Sgt. decided that we were all out of shape and we would have to start doing P.T. as a company in the afternoon when we left the motor pool and before chow.

Looking like a bunch of trainees, we marched over to a small parade field and started our P.T. in 100+ degree heat. There was a small hospital across from the parade field. I think it was mostly run by Air Force doctors and nurses. Anyway, a couple of the doctors saw what was going on. They came running out to our "rescue". Told 1st Sgt. D*head that he was running the risk of having all of us crap out with heat stroke. So our daily P.T. lasted just one day for about 30 minutes.  Strike one up for the Air Force.
